Carla Groves

Carla is the Administrator and Co-founder of Truth Academy, Inc. She attended Missouri State University where she majored in mathematics and secondary education. During her final semester in which she was to complete her student teaching, Carla and her husband, Gregg, learned they were expecting another addition to their family. Due to a difficult pregnancy, they decided that Carla would forgo her student teaching and focus on raising, and later homeschooling their children. During the time she was homeschooling her children, Carla felt called to start Truth Academy.

Along with teaching her own children, Carla has had the opportunity to tutor many children over the years, including college students. For the past several years she has taught Math to the seventh through twelfth graders at Truth Academy and is now teaching students in the tenth and eleventh grades.

Carla and Gregg have five children. Three of their five children, Addison, McKinley and Baden, graduated from Truth Academy. Addison continues to volunteer at Truth.

Carla is a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church where she sings on the praise team. Along with spending time with her family, and being involved with her Church, Carla has a God-given passion for Truth Academy.
